Restaurnant Branding Connects:
Unifying Five Locations Under Two Related Identities
The Challenge:
The client approached Finchform Co with a multi-faceted challenge centered around brand alignment. They needed to create visual cohesion between The Star and Little Star Pizza brands while ensuring each maintained its distinct identity. This meant refreshing both logos to feel connected as part of the same family while preserving their individual character. Another critical aspect was updating menu designs across all five locations to provide a consistent customer experience regardless of which restaurant patrons visited. Throughout this transformation, preserving customer recognition and brand loyalty was paramount, as was developing a unified color palette that would work harmoniously for both brands without losing their established visual equity.

Discovery:
We began with a comprehensive brand audit of existing materials across all locations, examining everything from signage to napkins to understand the current visual language. This was complemented by a thorough analysis of customer touchpoints and experience, observing how patrons interacted with the brand at various stages of their dining journey. Through this process, we identified core visual elements that carried the most brand equity—the components that customers instantly associated with their favorite pizza establishments. Additionally, we researched the competitive landscape to ensure both brands would maintain their distinct positioning in the market while becoming more visually connected.

Design Development:
With insights from our discovery phase, we created a harmonized color palette that effectively bridged both brands while respecting their individual personalities. We refined The Star logo to enhance its visual impact. For Little Star Pizza, we updated the logo to complement The Star's refreshed identity while ensuring it retained its own distinctive character. To further unite the brands, we developed a cohesive typographic system that created visual harmony across all materials. Finally, we designed flexible menu templates that could be customized for each location's specific offerings while maintaining brand consistency throughout the 1100 Group.
